About Us
The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) funds the Healthy Child Care Consultant Network Support Center (NSC). Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC), in partnership with CHT Resource Group (CHT-RG), leads the initiative.
The mission of the NSC is to build the capacity of states to create, maintain, support, and sustain the professional development of child care health consultants (CCHCs) and CCHC networks. These networks help states improve the health and well-being of children in out-of-home early care and education settings.
In supporting the goals of the state Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems initiatives, the NSC works closely with our distinguished colleagues at:
- Altarum Institute
- The American Academy of Pediatrics
- The National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care
- The National Training Institute for Child Care Health Consultants
- Project THRIVE
